Regional Manager Our client is an international Construction and Project Management company. They are currently seeking a Regional Manager from a Client Project Management background to work with clients from the following sectors; Retail, Office, Public Sector - Health & Education. Salary circa £50,000 - £55,000 plus car or car allowance (app £7K) and benefits. JOB DESCRIPTION To sustain and grow the project management consultancy business in the Midlands, achieving targets for profit margin per head. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implement the philosophy of “Incident and Injury Free” delivery wherever we have a presence Expand the client base to generate new PM commissions Support and develop the project staff within the regional office (currently 7 project managers) Contribute to the overall strategy for growth of the consulting business, nationally. Increase the staff numbers to satisfy growth targets Collaborate with other businesses within group, to offer the optimum service to clients, using the skills and experience from across the group Ensure projects and assignments are efficiently and profitably executed through company procedures Promote group in the regional property and construction market PRINCIPAL TASKS Business development through networking and client contacts Preparation of pre-qualification and tender submissions Maximise fee return on projects by delivering additional services and receiving fees due. Undertake a direct project management role as necessary to match flow of work. Prepare monthly reports highlighting the key business issues in the region Review and update Business Objectives and Action Plans Manage project and business risks for the region and maintain appropriate registers Receive project reports and identify issues by exception which need to be escalated to the business Coach and develop existing staff ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE CRITERIA Lead by example and work as part of an existing team Thorough understanding of the construction market within the East and West Midlands Expert practitioner in project management delivery Ability to inspire confidence and trust in clients Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills Administrative ability Commercial understanding of our own and our client’s business drivers Highly motivated, requiring minimal direction Good client contacts and ability to bring in new work
